These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the RosCar Czech Republic website, available at https://roscar.cz/, as well as vehicle searches, booking requests, payments, and related services provided through the website.

By using the website or submitting a booking request, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Company Information

Name: RosCar Czech Republic
Website: https://roscar.cz/
Email: [email protected]

2. About RosCar Czech Republic

RosCar Czech Republic is a car rental aggregator that allows customers to search for, compare, and book rental vehicles offered by local and international car rental companies.

RosCar Czech Republic does not necessarily own, maintain, or operate the vehicles displayed on the website. The selected rental company is responsible for providing the vehicle and performing the rental service according to its rental agreement and conditions.

RosCar Czech Republic facilitates communication and booking arrangements between the customer and the rental company. The vehicle rental agreement is normally concluded directly between the customer and the selected rental company.

3. Available Rental Services

Depending on the selected vehicle, location, rental company, and booking conditions, customers may be able to:

  • collect a rental vehicle at an airport;
  • collect a vehicle at a rental office or another available location;
  • request vehicle delivery within a city;
  • request vehicle delivery to a hotel, apartment, or another agreed address;
  • rent a vehicle without a security deposit;
  • rent a vehicle without a credit card;
  • pay for a rental in cash;
  • pay using a debit card;
  • select an offer with unlimited mileage;
  • select an offer with free cancellation;
  • add insurance or full coverage;
  • request a child car seat;
  • add an additional driver;
  • select other services displayed during the booking process.

These options are not automatically included with every vehicle. Their availability depends on the conditions of the selected rental offer. Customers must carefully review the information displayed for the selected vehicle before submitting a booking.

4. Booking Process

To submit a vehicle booking request, the customer must normally complete the following steps:

  1. Select the vehicle collection location.
  2. Select the vehicle return location.
  3. Choose the collection and return dates and times.
  4. Select a suitable vehicle category or specific available vehicle.
  5. Review the rental price, mileage policy, deposit requirements, payment methods, fuel policy, insurance, and other conditions.
  6. Select any required options, including no deposit, no credit card, insurance, full coverage, a child car seat, or an additional driver.
  7. Provide the main driver’s correct contact and booking information.
  8. Pay the required advance payment, which is normally between 15% and 20% of the booking price.
  9. Receive a booking voucher by email after the booking is confirmed.

The exact advance payment amount is displayed during the booking process before payment is made. It may vary depending on the rental company, vehicle, location, dates, and selected conditions.

5. Booking Request and Confirmation

Submitting a booking request does not always mean that the selected vehicle is immediately confirmed. The request may be subject to availability and approval by the relevant rental company.

A booking is considered confirmed when the customer receives a confirmation email and booking voucher containing the booking details, collection instructions, and contact information for the rental company.

If the selected vehicle is unavailable, RosCar Czech Republic or the rental company may offer an alternative vehicle. The customer may accept or reject the proposed alternative.

The rental company may provide a vehicle of the same category or a higher category rather than the exact make, model, colour, or year shown on the website. Vehicle images are provided for reference unless the offer clearly states that a specific model is guaranteed.

6. Booking Voucher

After confirmation, the booking voucher will be sent to the email address provided by the customer.

The voucher may contain:

  • the booking reference number;
  • the main driver’s details;
  • the collection and return locations;
  • the rental dates and times;
  • the selected vehicle or vehicle category;
  • the rental price and payment information;
  • the rental company’s name and contact details;
  • instructions for collecting the vehicle;
  • selected additional services;
  • important rental conditions.

The customer must check the voucher immediately after receiving it. Any incorrect information must be reported to [email protected] as soon as possible.

The customer must present the booking voucher in printed or electronic form when collecting the vehicle if requested by the rental company.

7. Customer Information

The customer must provide complete, accurate, and current information during the booking process.

The main driver’s name should normally match the name shown on the driver’s license, identification document, and payment card where a payment card is required.

RosCar Czech Republic and the rental company are not responsible for booking problems caused by inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information provided by the customer.

The customer is responsible for ensuring access to the email address and telephone number submitted during booking.

8. Driver Requirements

The main driver and every additional driver must meet the requirements of the selected rental company.

Requirements may include:

  • a minimum and maximum driver age;
  • a minimum period of driving experience;
  • a valid driver’s license;
  • a passport or national identity card;
  • an international driving permit where required;
  • a valid credit card or debit card where required by the selected offer;
  • compliance with any vehicle category restrictions.

Young driver, senior driver, additional driver, or other fees may apply. These fees depend on the rental company and selected offer.

The customer must verify all driver requirements before booking and before travelling to the vehicle collection location.

9. Required Documents

When collecting the vehicle, the main driver may be required to present:

  • a valid passport or national identity card;
  • a valid driver’s license;
  • an international driving permit where required;
  • the booking voucher;
  • a credit card or debit card where required;
  • any additional documents specified in the booking conditions.

All documents must be original, valid, readable, and issued in the driver’s name. Digital copies may not be accepted unless the rental company confirms otherwise.

If the customer cannot present the required documents, the rental company may refuse to provide the vehicle. Such refusal may be treated as a late cancellation or failure to collect the vehicle.

10. Prices

Rental prices are based on the information available when the search or booking request is made.

The displayed price may depend on:

  • the rental location;
  • the rental period;
  • the selected vehicle category;
  • vehicle availability;
  • the driver’s age and driving experience;
  • the selected mileage policy;
  • the deposit conditions;
  • insurance and additional coverage;
  • optional services;
  • taxes, airport charges, and location fees;
  • the selected payment method.

The final booking price and included services are displayed during the booking process and stated in the booking voucher.

Additional charges may apply if the customer changes the booking, extends the rental, returns the vehicle late, returns it to a different location, adds services at collection, violates the rental agreement, or incurs fines, tolls, fuel charges, cleaning costs, or vehicle damage.

11. Advance Payment

To confirm a booking, the customer is normally required to pay an advance amount equal to approximately 15% to 20% of the total booking price.

The exact advance payment is shown before the customer completes the payment.

The remaining rental amount is normally paid directly to the rental company when the vehicle is collected or according to the payment schedule stated in the booking voucher.

The advance payment may represent a booking service payment, part of the rental price, or another amount described during checkout. Its treatment in the event of cancellation depends on the conditions accepted during booking.

12. Payment Methods

Available payment methods depend on the selected rental offer and may include:

  • online card payment for the advance amount;
  • cash payment when collecting the vehicle;
  • debit card payment;
  • credit card payment;
  • another payment method accepted by the rental company.

An offer marked as available without a credit card means that a credit card is not mandatory under the stated booking conditions. The customer must still comply with any alternative payment or identification requirements.

An offer marked for cash payment or debit card payment is subject to the specific conditions displayed for that vehicle.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the chosen payment method is valid, has sufficient funds, and is accepted by the rental company.

13. Security Deposit

A security deposit may be required by the rental company to cover possible vehicle damage, missing fuel, fines, tolls, late return, loss of keys, breach of the rental agreement, or other charges.

The deposit amount, payment method, and release conditions depend on the selected offer and rental company.

If the customer selects an offer marked as no deposit, the rental company should not require the standard security deposit described for ordinary offers. However, the customer remains responsible for charges arising from damage, fines, fuel, tolls, lost items, or violations of the rental agreement.

No deposit does not mean that the customer has no financial responsibility for the vehicle.

14. Rental Agreement

When collecting the vehicle, the customer may be required to sign a separate rental agreement with the rental company.

The rental agreement may include rules concerning:

  • permitted drivers;
  • permitted countries and cross border travel;
  • vehicle use restrictions;
  • fuel policy;
  • mileage limits;
  • insurance and customer liability;
  • accidents and vehicle damage;
  • traffic fines and tolls;
  • vehicle collection and return;
  • breakdowns and roadside assistance;
  • prohibited uses of the vehicle;
  • additional charges.

The customer must read the rental agreement before signing it. If the rental agreement conflicts with the confirmed booking voucher regarding the selected price or included services, the customer should contact RosCar Czech Republic before accepting the vehicle whenever possible.

15. Vehicle Collection

The customer must arrive at the agreed collection location at the time stated in the booking voucher.

Airport collection may require the customer to provide a correct flight number. Hotel or city delivery may require an exact address and a working telephone number.

The customer should contact the rental company if a flight is delayed or if arrival at the agreed time is not possible.

Failure to arrive on time without notification may result in the vehicle being released to another customer. The booking may then be treated as a failure to collect the vehicle.

16. Vehicle Delivery

Vehicle delivery to a hotel, apartment, city address, airport, railway station, or another location may be available for selected offers.

Delivery may be free or subject to an additional charge. The price and delivery conditions are displayed during booking or confirmed by the rental company.

The customer must provide a complete and accessible delivery address and remain available by telephone at the agreed time.

17. Vehicle Inspection

Before accepting the vehicle, the customer should inspect its exterior, interior, tyres, windows, equipment, fuel level, and mileage.

Existing damage should be recorded in the rental agreement or vehicle condition report. The customer should take photographs or videos of the vehicle when it is collected and returned.

Any unrecorded damage or missing equipment should be reported to the rental company before the vehicle is driven.

18. Vehicle Use

The vehicle may only be driven by drivers authorised in the rental agreement.

The customer must:

  • use the vehicle carefully and lawfully;
  • follow Czech traffic laws and the laws of any other permitted country;
  • use the correct fuel;
  • lock the vehicle when unattended;
  • protect the keys and vehicle documents;
  • comply with parking, toll, and road charging requirements;
  • stop using the vehicle if a warning light or serious fault appears;
  • contact the rental company when assistance is required.

The vehicle must not be used for racing, testing, driver training, illegal activity, commercial passenger transport, towing without permission, driving off road where prohibited, or any activity excluded by the rental agreement.

19. Mileage

The mileage policy is stated in the selected offer and booking voucher.

An offer with unlimited mileage allows the vehicle to be driven without a standard daily or total mileage limit during the confirmed rental period. Reasonable use requirements and geographical restrictions may still apply.

If the offer includes limited mileage, the customer may be charged for every additional kilometre according to the rental company’s conditions.

20. Fuel Policy

The applicable fuel policy is displayed in the rental offer, booking voucher, or rental agreement.

The customer may be required to return the vehicle with the same fuel level recorded at collection. If the vehicle is returned with insufficient fuel, the rental company may charge for missing fuel and an additional refuelling service.

The customer is responsible for using the correct fuel type. Damage caused by using incorrect fuel may not be covered by insurance.

21. Insurance and Full Coverage

Basic insurance may be included in the rental price as stated in the selected offer.

The customer may be able to purchase additional insurance, reduced liability, or full coverage during booking or directly from the rental company.

Insurance and coverage products may contain exclusions, limits, deductibles, reporting requirements, and conditions. The customer must review these conditions before purchase.

Full coverage does not necessarily remove all customer responsibilities. Items such as tyres, wheels, glass, the vehicle interior, keys, incorrect fuel, negligent use, prohibited driving, or failure to report an accident may be excluded.

22. Additional Equipment

Additional equipment, including child car seats, navigation devices, roof equipment, winter equipment, or other accessories, may be requested during booking.

Additional equipment is subject to availability and may require an additional payment.

The customer should inspect all additional equipment before use and immediately report any problem to the rental company.

The customer remains responsible for checking that a child car seat is suitable and correctly installed.

23. Additional Drivers

Only drivers listed in the rental agreement may drive the vehicle.

An additional driver may be subject to age, license, document, experience, and payment requirements. An additional fee may apply unless the selected offer states that the service is included.

Insurance coverage may be invalid if the vehicle is driven by an unauthorised person.

24. Cross Border Travel

The customer must obtain permission from the rental company before taking the vehicle outside the Czech Republic.

Cross border travel may be restricted to specific countries and may require an additional fee, insurance, documentation, or written authorisation.

Taking the vehicle across a border without permission may invalidate insurance and result in additional charges.

25. Traffic Fines, Parking Charges, and Tolls

The customer is responsible for traffic fines, parking charges, road tolls, motorway charges, and other penalties incurred during the rental period.

The rental company may charge an administration fee for identifying the driver, transferring liability, processing a fine, or responding to a request from an authority.

Charges received after the rental period may still be collected from the customer.

26. Accidents, Damage, Theft, and Breakdown

In the event of an accident, damage, theft, breakdown, or another incident, the customer must:

  • stop the vehicle where it is safe to do so;
  • contact the rental company immediately;
  • contact the police where required;
  • follow the rental company’s instructions;
  • collect the details of other parties and witnesses;
  • take photographs where possible;
  • complete all required reports and forms;
  • avoid admitting liability without authorisation.

Failure to report an incident or follow the required procedure may affect insurance coverage and increase the customer’s liability.

27. Vehicle Return

The customer must return the vehicle to the agreed location on the confirmed date and at the confirmed time.

The vehicle should be returned in the condition in which it was collected, except for reasonable wear resulting from proper use.

Additional charges may apply for:

  • late return;
  • return to an unauthorised location;
  • missing fuel;
  • excessive dirt or special cleaning;
  • smoking in the vehicle where prohibited;
  • lost keys or documents;
  • missing equipment;
  • new vehicle damage;
  • additional mileage;
  • an unauthorised rental extension.

28. Booking Changes

Requests to change a booking must be sent to [email protected] or made using another contact method stated in the booking voucher.

Changes are subject to vehicle availability and approval by the rental company.

A change to the dates, times, location, vehicle, driver, or selected services may affect the rental price and conditions.

A requested change is not confirmed until the customer receives written confirmation.

29. Cancellation

Cancellation conditions are displayed during booking and may also be included in the booking voucher.

Selected offers may include free cancellation when the booking is cancelled within the stated period.

Free cancellation applies only when all conditions and deadlines of the selected offer are met.

If a booking is cancelled after the free cancellation deadline, the advance payment may be partly or fully non refundable. Additional cancellation charges may apply according to the conditions accepted during booking.

A cancellation request is considered received when it reaches RosCar Czech Republic through the stated contact channel.

30. Failure to Collect the Vehicle

A booking may be treated as a failure to collect the vehicle when the customer:

  • does not arrive at the agreed time and location;
  • does not notify the rental company of a delay;
  • does not present the required documents;
  • does not meet the driver requirements;
  • does not provide an accepted payment method;
  • does not provide a required security deposit;
  • refuses to sign the applicable rental agreement;
  • provides incorrect booking information that prevents the rental.

In these circumstances, the booking payment may be non refundable, subject to the conditions of the selected offer and mandatory consumer law.

31. Cancellation by RosCar Czech Republic or the Rental Company

RosCar Czech Republic or the rental company may cancel a booking when:

  • the vehicle becomes unavailable due to damage, breakdown, theft, or an operational issue;
  • the booking contains incorrect or fraudulent information;
  • the customer does not meet the rental requirements;
  • payment cannot be processed;
  • the requested service cannot legally or safely be provided;
  • an event beyond reasonable control prevents performance.

Where possible, an alternative vehicle or refund of the amount paid for the unavailable booking will be offered. Any additional compensation is subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the cancellation.

32. Refunds

Approved refunds are normally returned using the original payment method unless another method is agreed.

The time required for a refund to appear may depend on the bank, payment provider, currency, and payment method.

Bank charges, currency conversion differences, and fees imposed by third party payment providers may be outside the control of RosCar Czech Republic.

33. Complaints

Customers should first report problems concerning the vehicle or rental service directly to the rental company so that the issue can be addressed during the rental period.

A complaint submitted to RosCar Czech Republic should include:

  • the customer’s full name;
  • the booking reference number;
  • the rental dates;
  • a clear description of the problem;
  • supporting documents, photographs, receipts, or correspondence.

Complaints may be sent to [email protected].

RosCar Czech Republic will review the complaint and may request information from the rental company. The time required to resolve a matter may depend on its complexity and the response of the rental company.

34. Responsibilities of RosCar Czech Republic

RosCar Czech Republic is responsible for providing reasonable booking assistance and transmitting booking information to the relevant rental company.

As an aggregator, RosCar Czech Republic is not directly responsible for:

  • the maintenance, safety, cleanliness, or roadworthiness of a vehicle supplied by an independent rental company;
  • the conduct of the rental company’s employees or representatives;
  • changes made directly between the customer and the rental company without our involvement;
  • traffic conditions, weather, road closures, flight delays, or travel disruption;
  • fines, tolls, parking charges, accidents, or customer violations;
  • services not included in the confirmed booking;
  • losses caused by incorrect information provided by the customer;
  • the customer’s failure to read or comply with the booking and rental conditions.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.

35. Responsibilities of Rental Companies

The selected rental company is responsible for providing the vehicle and performing the rental agreement.

The rental company is normally responsible for:

  • confirming vehicle availability;
  • delivering or providing the vehicle at the agreed location;
  • checking the customer’s documents;
  • preparing the rental agreement;
  • providing required vehicle documentation;
  • explaining the deposit, fuel, insurance, and return conditions;
  • providing assistance for breakdowns or incidents according to its terms;
  • processing vehicle damage and rental related charges.

36. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RosCar Czech Republic is not liable for indirect losses, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of enjoyment, or additional travel expenses arising from the actions or omissions of an independent rental company.

RosCar Czech Republic is not liable for failures caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, strikes, war, civil unrest, government restrictions, epidemics, technical failures, transport disruption, or widespread service outages.

Any limitation of liability in these Terms and Conditions is subject to mandatory consumer protection law.

37. Website Information

RosCar Czech Republic aims to provide accurate and current vehicle descriptions, prices, conditions, locations, and availability.

Information may be supplied by rental companies or technical service providers. Availability and prices may change before a booking is confirmed.

Obvious technical, typographical, currency, or pricing errors do not create a right to receive a service at an incorrect price. If an error affects a booking, the customer will be informed and may accept the corrected conditions or cancel the booking for a refund of the affected payment.

38. Intellectual Property

Website content, including text, design, branding, software, graphics, and original materials, is owned by RosCar Czech Republic or used with permission.

Customers may use the website only for personal and lawful vehicle rental searches and bookings.

39. Prohibited Website Use

Users must not:

  • use automated systems to extract website content without permission;
  • impersonate another person;
  • use the website for illegal activity;
  • make speculative, false, or duplicate bookings.

Access to the website may be restricted or terminated where misuse is suspected.

40. Personal Data

Personal data is processed according to the RosCar Czech Republic Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

By submitting a booking, the customer acknowledges that relevant personal and booking information may be shared with the selected rental company, payment providers, and service providers where necessary to process the booking.

41. Electronic Communication

By using the website, the customer agrees that booking confirmations, vouchers, notices, amendments, and other communications may be provided electronically.

The customer is responsible for checking the provided email address, including spam and junk folders.

42. Third Party Websites and Services

The website may contain links to websites or services operated by rental companies, payment providers, map providers, insurers, or other third parties.

RosCar Czech Republic does not control independent third party websites. Their own terms, privacy policies, and service conditions apply.

43. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects rights that cannot legally be excluded under Czech or European Union consumer protection law.

Before completing a booking, the customer is provided with information about the selected service, price, payment requirements, cancellation conditions, and the identity or contact details of the relevant service provider where applicable.

Rules concerning withdrawal from online contracts may contain exceptions for vehicle rental services supplied on a specific date or during a specific period. The cancellation conditions displayed for the selected booking therefore apply, subject to mandatory law.

44. Alternative Dispute Resolution

If a consumer dispute cannot be resolved directly, the customer may have the right to request alternative dispute resolution through the competent Czech consumer authority.

The availability and jurisdiction of alternative dispute resolution depend on the nature of the dispute and the identity of the contractual service provider.

45. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights available under the law of the customer’s country of residence.

Disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts determined under applicable law.

46. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

RosCar Czech Republic may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes in services, booking procedures, legal requirements, or business operations.

The current version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.

The Terms and Conditions accepted when a booking is submitted will normally apply to that booking unless a change is required by law or agreed with the customer.
